Rain yesterday forced the varsity football team to spend more time on offensive practice than Coach Lloyd Jordan had originally planned. Despite the slippery field, the first-string offense ran well against the freshmen.
Junior John Ederer ran at wingback in place of John Tulenko, who probably will not play against Brown due to a bad knee. Tailback Dick Clasby and fullback Tom Osssman both got away for long gains.
After practice Jordan said that Don Cass would again be unavailable for duty at defensive left end on Saturday. At present, Fritz Drill, Slug Dolan, and Paul Crowley respectively are possible substitutes for Cass.
