The Business School has contributed 331 pints of blood to the local drive, making a grand total of 2,450 pints collected from the Harvard area. The student body, faculty and staff of the school across the river were able to muster 375 donors in the two day blood-letting ending today.
The drive, sponsored by the Business School Student Association, will give 80 of these pints to the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital of the Harvard Medical School for blood research. This year's total exceeds last year's by more than 200 pints.
This amount added to the P.B.H. total probably makes the current blood drive the most successful in the country. According to a statement from a P.B.H. official yesterday, the total could have been even larger if solicitation had not been stopped during the drive.
