Two hundred and fifty fellowships for college teachers will again be available with the compliments of the Ford Foundation. The enormous charitable fund started the fellowships last year, when 253 persons received grants equal to the salaries they were drawing. Four of the fellowships went to members of the University faculty.

The University has failed to participate in another major Ford Foundation activity--the special program for taking is freshmen at age 16.
