Wesleyan Foil Team Arrives

Coach Rene Peroy's swordsmen will face the Wesleyan team in the Indoor Athletic Building this afternoon, and Peroy "doesn't think they will have much trouble."

Wesleyan comes here trying to make up for its recent defeat at the hands of Boston University. It bowed to the Terriers, 14 to 13. Peroy's men, however, downed B. U., 24 to 3, in its first meet of the season last Wednesday.

The matches will begin at 2:30 p.m., with the freshman team meeting B.U.

In the varsity matches, Peroy plans to use Eric Sollee, Jan Jertson, and Chris Martin at the foils. Captain Win Overholser, Marty Smith, and Ben Morton will be on the epees, with Forrest Carter, Bob McConaughty, and Harry Zeil handling the sabres. All won their matches last Wednesday.

Next week, the team will travel to West Point to meet a tough Army squad. Army has already beaten Yale. The electric epee, used for the first time Wednesday, will be used again today. It eliminates the margin of error in scoring.
