Star Gazers Go Inside Today To View 'Destination Moon'

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Astronomy 1 students get an extracurricular thrill today when they see the movie, "Destination Moon," instead of their regular lab. Donald H. Menzel, professor of Astrophysics, said that the educational value of the feature length "warrants its regular use in elementary astronomy courses."

Students will have to write lab reports on the scientific accuracy of the movie. The reports will also be graded, Menzel said, on how students use their imaginations to describe the real moon. Only students in the course will be able to attend the showing.
