Pro Basketball Job Foreseen For Smith With NBA Bullets

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Basketball Captain Ed Smith took the first step yesterday toward a professional career by notifying the Baltimore Bullets of the National Basketball Association that he would accept a contract from them if they selected him in the league's college player draft next month.

The Baltimore team wrote Smith asking him whether he would sign if he were picked and what his military draft status is. Smith is now 1-a.

Coach Norm Shepard recently said that the big center has the talent to make good in professional ball.
