New York Harvard Club Beats Boston; Bans Book for 'Filth'

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

New York Harvard Club members must feel right at home this week as James Jones' best seller, "From Here to Eternity" was banned from the club's library last week.

Up to press time, the Boston censors had taken no action on the book, which has been described as "a bundle of filth" by the San Francisco News. The book concerns the lives of soldiers in Hawaii before the war.

The New York Harvard Club last night would not comment on the ban.
