Stone Will Be Probed In Sex Release Case

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

His release of a Somerville sex offender yesterday brought Cambridge Judge Arthur P. Stone '93 under an investigation ordered by the state legislature. William F. Bonnell, the offender, was rearrested last night on a warrant charging additional sex crimes.

Stone's action in placing the confessed offender on probation despite a Westboro State Hospital recommendation that he be turned over to the State Department for Mental Deficients had raised considerable protest.

Twice before, in 1933 and 1938, attempts were made to remove Stone from the bench. Both failed.
