The varsity golf team will split into two parts this weekend. Six men will play in the Eastern Intercollegiate Golf Association championship at new Haven, while five more will compete in the New England Intercollegiate tournament at the Oakley Country Club in Belmont.
The match at the Yale University course starts tomorrow with a 36-hole qualifying round. The scores of the best four men on each team will be added up and the best total will win the team match. The best 16 individual golfers will play off for the title Sunday and Monday.
The New England match will include teams mostly from the Greater Boston area.
Tomorrow the freshmen will meet Governor Dummer Academy at South Byfield.
