Captain Bob Bramhall of the varsity tennis team last night drew places for four Crimson players in the annual New England Intercollegiate championship tournament at Providence today through Monday. Charlie Ufford, Bramhall, Art French, and Dave Watts will represent the Crimson in this match.
Ufford will play singles for the first time since his recovery from a cold this week. He may rate one of the first four seeded positions in the tournament on the basis of his play this year.
If Coach Jack Barnaby feels Ufford is well enough to play doubles too, he will pair him with Bramhall in one of the two teams. Otherwise Bill Goodman will play with the captain. French and Watts will form the other combination.
Freshmen Play Saturday
The freshmen on Saturday will play what may be their toughest match of the year against Andover at 2:30 p.m. on the Soldiers Field courts.
