Lacrosse Team Faces Weak M.I.T. Squad Today at Tech

The varsity lacrosse team has the habit of playing either very good or very bad lacrosse. It could play any brand of ball this afternoon on M.I.T.'s Briggs Field and probably trounce the hapless Beavers. Coach Bruce Munro, however, would like his squad to settle down, since only three days remain before the crucial home game with Williams.

Today's contest means little to most members of the squad, but for reserve attackman Moe Baldwin, it culminates a year and a half of second-string duty. The lanky junior, who personally engineered last Saturday's close victory over Springfield, was named to the first attack yesterday by Munro. He replaces Bill Plissner, last year's runner-up to Captain Rick Hudner for scoring honors.

Midfielder Lynch Returns

Midfielder Ripper Lynch has returned to the second midfield after missing Saturday's game. Munro will play Pete Brooke and Bill Graham with Lynch, moving Al Sawyer to a fourth midfield. This newly created midfield will be composed of Sawyer, Godfrey Birkhead, and Laurie Otis.

The traditionally weak Tech sqquad has bowed to Stevens Tech, a team the Crimson routed, and was outclassed, 13 to 1, by Dartmouth. The only Beaver victory was at the expense of the Boston Lacrosse Club.
