North Carolina University's tennis team will be seeking revenge today when it plays the Crimson at 3:45 p.m. on the Soldiers Field courts. The varsity beat a juggled North Carolina lineup, 8 to 7, for its only victory on the spring vacation trip. A match the day before had been rained out with the Tar Heels leading, 5 to 0.
Coach Jack Barnaby will start his regular first, six men, who will be much more experienced than when they played at Chapel Hill a month ago. Barnaby hopes to upset the tough Tar Heels, who will field a solid team with plenty of depth.
Freshman Beat Exeter
Yesterday the freshman 'A' team edged by Exeter, 5 to 4, as Don Bossart and Donn Spencer won the deciding second doubless match, 6-2, 6-4. Bossart also beat his fifth singles opponent, 6-0, 6-2.
Gene Mann, playing second in singles and third in doubles, also won twice. Mike Ward was his partner. The other Yardling win came when Frank Goodman won his sixth singles match.
