Law School Gift Fund Collects Ten Full Scholarships

Ten full tuition Law School scholarships for next year have thus far been made available by the Annual Law School Giving Fund. An additional four more are promised.

"With last minute effort, the drive which ends June 30 should be able to exceed $50,000," Wesley E. Bevins, chairman of the drive, said last night. The gifts from alumni, non-alumni, and parents totaled $41,649.65 by the time the fifth progress report was published on June 1.

Regional Breakdown

In the regional breakdown, Region II, which includes New York and New Jersey, totaled over $14,800. Region I, including New England and Puerto Rico, was second with over $9,700. Region V, made up of Maryland and the Washington, D.C., area, was third with over $3,000.

New York State and Massachusetts were by far the two greatest contributing states, with New York totaling over $14,000, and Massachusetts over $8,000. Washington, D.C. and vicinity was third with over $2,400.
