Aaron Copland Will Conduct Harvard-Radcliffe Orchesera

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Aaron Copland, this year's Charles Eliot Norton Professor, will appear as guest conductor with the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra in one of his own works during the fall, the Pierian Sodality announced yesterday.

Copland's decision to appear was arranged at Tanglewood this summer after talking with Russell Stanger, regular conductor of the Orchestra. Stange will conduct the rest of the mid-November concert, which will be held in Sanders Theatre.

The Music Department will this year have the services of Copland, who succeeds Thornton Wilder as Charles Eliot Norton Professor.
