Varsity basketball coach Norm Shepard indicated last night that several new faces will dot the starting line-up when the Crimson quintet meets Dartmouth at 8:30 p.m. tonight in the I.A.B. The varsity will be seeking its first Eastern Intercollegiate victory and a better than .500 record. In the preliminary game at 6:45 p.m., the Yardlings will meet the Big Green freshmen.
Shepard would not reveal who the new starters were, but indications from yesterday's practice point to several likely sophomores. In the intra-squad line-ups. Dick Lionette was playing with Bill Dennis, Ed Blodnick, Ed Condon, and Ed Krinsky.
Dartmouth, on the other hand, will play four lettermen and one sophomore--6'8" Paul Wisdom at center. Wisdom is expected to give some scoring punch to the Indians, who were usually lacking in that capacity last year--they finished last in the league, one notch below the Crimson.
Five-foot eleven-inch Bill Biggs, the shortest man among the Big Green starters, is the team's other high scorer. The rest of the first string includes guard Kent Calhoun, and forwards Fred Gleg and Roger Pierce.
