Entrants in Boylston Contest Must Apply by February 26

Frederick C. Packard, Jr. '20, associate professor of Public Speaking, announced yesterday the dates for this year's competition for the Boylston Prizes for Elocution.

Students wishing to enter the contest will have to submit their selection from an English, Latin, or Greek author, for approval to Packard, whose office is in the Germanic Museum, by February 26. The selections must be between five and seven minutes long. The preliminary contest will be held in New Lecture Hall March 12, and the final in Paine Hall March 26.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors in good standing are eligible to compete for the two first prizes of $35 and the three second prizes of $25.
