The junior varsity once again provided the opposition as the varsity drilled on offense and defense in preparation for Saturday's game with Colgate.
With the first and second squads taking turns running the ball, the Crimson offense showed a surprising amount of polish. Jerry Blitz, the second fullback broke away several times and tailback Dick Clasby registered long gains.
The only change in the first offensive lineup had Jeff Coolidge at center in place of Buddy Lemay. Lemay, who didn't play against Washington last Saturday because of an injured ankle, ran with the second team.
Led by Captain John Nichols, the first defensive team drilled against the Colgate split-T offense and had trouble only with occasional passes.fl
The only injury of the scrimmage was sustained by Harry Manoogean '55, a jayvee halfback, who hurt his arm.
