'Joint Education' Preferred In 'Cliffe Poll by Columnist

"Joint education" at Radcliffe combines the best features of both co-educational and all-girls colleges, Sara White, columnist for the Boston Traveler, said yesterday.

Answering an article by Lynn White, Jr. in the October Harper's Magazine, Miss White stated that girls were less likely to express themselves freely when there were boys in classes, and that they usually had only a subordinate part in coed extracurricular activities.

Miss White based her article on the opinions of several Radcliffe students and members of the faculty.
