Yale Political Science Department Supports Adlai by Large Margin

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

An overwhelming majority of the Political Science Department of Yale is in favor of Adlai Stevenson for president, according to a poll released yesterday by the Yale Daily News.

Nine members of the department came out in favor of Stevenson, three supported Dwight D. Eisenhower, and three declined to reveal their choice. Two other members could not be reached.

Walter R. Sharp, professor of Political Science, made the following statement about his political choice: "Stevenson shows the potentialities of a great political leader by reason of his remarkable record as Governor of Illinois and the manner in which he is analyzing the basic issues of the campaign. It should be remembered that the governorship has been the training ground for most of our great presidents.

The Eisenhower supporters were not available for comment, according to the News.
