Dick Clasby still leads the Ivy League in rushing, but Homer Smith's record-breaking performance against the locals last Saturday puts him into a strong second place position.

Smith added 273 yards to his previous total to give him a composite 635 for seven games. Clasby with the same number of games, leads with 728 yards, and needs only 134 more to surpass Kazmaier's 1951 record.

The Crimson is third in team offense, with 2,183 yards, following Princeton and Yale. Fullback John Culver has tied Ed Woodsum of Yale at 54 points each for individual scoring, with Smith's four TD's against the Cantabs landing him in third place.

Surprisingly, the Cantabs sport the best pass defense record of any team in the League.

Culver follows Clasby, Smith, and Yale's Jerry Jones with a rushing total of 497 yards. Bob Unger, also of Princeton, is fifth with 383.

In total offense Mitch Price of Columbia leads Clasby and Yale's Ed Malloy, having ground out 1,184 yards to Clasby's 1,127. Price has a running chance to break two Ivy records, one in pass completions and the other in yards through the air.

Clasby also leads the League in punting, averaging 38.3 yards in 36 kicks.
