Strauss Leads Band for 1953

Peter Strauss '54 will succeed Dana M. Hastings '53 as undergraduate Director of the Band, it was announced last night. Last year Strauss held the positions of Treasurer and Student Conductor. He has led the Band during half-time at several football games this season when Malcolm Holmes '28, Director of the Band, was absent.

Strauss officially took over the new post during half-time of the Yale game, when Hastings formally handed him the baton.

Alan S. Novick '55 was elected Treasurer, Sidney Singer, Jr. '54, Drill Master Carl M. Levanthal '54, Property Manager, and Alan Chandler '55, Secretary.
