Two seniors from Eliot and one from Lowell House were among 32 new Rhodes Scholars announced yesterday. Harvard, Yale, and Princeton were the only colleges to have more than one scholarship winner.

From Harvard are Stephen Stamatopulos '53, of Lowell House and Greenfield, Mass., majoring in international affairs, Ronald M. Dworkin '53, of Eliot House and Providence, majoring in philosophy, and Charles MacVeagh '53, of Eliot House and Webster Groves, Mo., majoring in English history and literature.

The scholarship winners, who will enter the University of Oxford next fall, are eligible for at least two years of study in the subject of their choice. The scholarships are worth 500 (English) pounds ($1,400) annually.

Yale led the Big Three with five winners. Harvard was second with three, and Princeton had two. Twenty-two other colleges and universities placed one Rhodes Scholar each.
