Dominance in the foil division gave the varsity fencers their margin of victory in a 14 to 12 win over Army at the L.A.B. Saturday afternoon. Follmen Steve Chandler, Jan Jortson, and Captain Eric Sollee each won two of their three bouts in the league match.
Other two-bout winners included George McNair and Ivan Chermayoff in the opee competition and saber man Bob McConaughy. Jack Smith (opee) and Harry Ziel (saber) took a bout apiece against the unexpectedly strong Cadet team. Lee Scherer (opee) and Byron Morton (saber) completed the Crimson lineup.
Rene Peroy's squad will go after its third straight league win when it meets M.I.T. in the Blockhouse at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Tech reportedly--has a weaker club than Army.
