Myron P. Gilmore, assistant professor of History, will take a leave of absence from his teaching duties because of illness. Although the leave is not yet confirmed by the University, Gilmore said his doctor told him to stop work immediately.
During his absence from the University, guest lecturers will teach Gilmore's course, History 120. President Jordan of Radcliffe will teach the next four classes and will also take over Gilmore's seminar. Martin E. Malia, instructor in History, will give the majority of lectures.
Although Gilmore will not leave for his rest for about two weeks, he commented that "after some months of hibernation" he would return to his classes.
