Fifteen undergraduate orators were chosen semi finalists yesterday from a field of 51 competitors in the opening lap of the Boylston Public Speaking Contest held in Paine Hall. Usually, finalists are picked directly: the extra step was added because of the large turnout.
The semi-finalists are to report to the top floor of the Busch-Reisinger Museum in two groups on Monday. March 17. Those to speak at 1:00 are: Walter C. Carrington '52. Theodore L. Gershuny '51, James M. Harkless '52, John M. Kettlewell '52. Bernard M. Makihara '53, Burton G. Malkiel '54, Marvin E. Mazie '52, and Robert C. Mello '53.
