Africa Will Stage Youth Conference

Africa will be the destination of two Harvard students this July who will represent the United States at the Dakar meeting of the World Assembly of Youth.

The Young Adult Council, coordinator of America's major youth organizations, has elected Walter C. Carrington '52 and George Carter 3G as two of the four American students who will attend the conference.

Strenghthening of international ties with areas outside Europe and furtherance of a working partnership between youth of the advanced and underdeveloped countries are the aims of the American delegates.

W.A.Y. is an international organization of young adults in 42 nations, colonies, and underdeveloped areas. It enables young people to study and act to remove common problems.
