Colgate Installs New Coach; Will Retain Spring Practices

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

President Everett Case of Colgate University yesterday announced the appointment of Harold W. Lahar as head coach of the Maroon football team. Last year Lahar was a line coach at the University of Pittsburgh. He succeeds Paul O. Bixler, who resigned January 11.

The new coach will conduct spring football this year in order to acquaint himself with the squad. Next spring practice will probably be stopped.

Harvard's first look at the new coach will be on October 18, when the Red Raiders play the Crimson at the Stadium.
