The Faculty of Arts and Sciences announced yesterday the appointment of Associate Professor Herbert Dieckmann as Chairman of the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, effective July 1.
Also announced was the appointment of Associate Professor Oscar Handlin as Acting Chairman of the Committee on History and Literature for the spring term, 1951-52.
