Cliffe registered concern yesterday when Dean Kerby Miller announced at a with fields of concentration that three advanced general education courses would be required.
Although this requirement had been announced previously, the students seemed surprised
Dean Kerby Miller qualified the requirement, however the fact that these may be any courses deemed suitable by the "advisory list," or any course of particular interest to the students subject to the approval of her adviser.
Among the courses on the advisory list are Music 1, Fine Arts 13, Government 1a and 1b, Philosophy 1a and 1b, various English courses, and many others. "A spirit of adventure is necessary in choosing subjects." Dean Kerby-Miller said.
Meetings will be held during the week to explain the fields of concentration. Representatives of various departments will speak at each meeting and will be prepared questions concerning the field.
