Pictured above is JOHN B. OGDEN JR., Freshman Lacrosse Captain, of Columbus, Ohio, and Lionel Hall. Ogden is the first captain since before the war who was elected though the team knew he would be physically unable to play in his sport. His collar bone was fractured four days before the beginning of the season while clearing a ball from his position in the goal.

Ogden attended Andover Academy and played three years on the Varsity Lacrosse squad. He was one of Coach Pickett's probable starters this year until his injury. The '54 captain was Monk Aiello.
