Climate Cooler Today After Year's Hottest

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Exam crammers sweltered yesterday, but things should be cooler today meteorologically speaking. Wednesday's maximum, the highest of the year, reached a sticky 85, some 11 degrees below the peak for the date recorded in 1925.

The temperature today is expected to be in the lower 70's, with fair skies, which is more in line with the Weather Bureau's 30-day forecast of below normal thermometer readings for June. Usual figure for the Boston area in June ranges between 70 and 75.

The skies will cloud up again Friday afternoon, however, according to the Bureau prediction, thus spoiling the weekend for those who will be able to enjoy it.

Today's wind, other than that emanating from exam areas, is expected to be gentle to moderate, from the north.
