Discussion of a possible major-minor division of the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association will feature the annual meeting of the group at the Varsity Club on February 8.
Several members of the association feel that such a division will prevent the larger colleges of the 15-member group from dominating competition. In recent years Yale, Dartmouth, and Harvard have consistently topped the smaller association teams.
The all-day meeting will also include a lacrosse clinic, rules discussion, and trophy awards to outstanding New England teams. The L. Cabot Briggs Trophy will be presented to Yale's 1952 new England League champions.
Secondary schools with lacrosse teams will meet jointly with the intercollegiate Association. The Charles E. Masters Trophy will be awarded to last year's outstanding prep school team.
