'Gold Coasting' Given Award as One of Top Campus Films of '53

The Screen Producers Guild has judged Ivy Films' "Gold Coasting," a film sketch of Harvard House living, one of the six finest college motion picture productions for 1952-53.

The Guild, which produces 98 percent of American feature motion pictures, judged 69 college-made films.

"Gold Coasting," describing life at Adams House, was written and directed by Nelson C. Galassi '53 and produced by Ivy Films president Walter M. Ulin '54 of Dunster and John A. K. Bradley '55 of Adams. Ronald P. Dutton '55 of Leverett directed photography.

M. Joel Mandelbaum '53 composed the original music score and conducted the student orchestra which provided the musical accompaniment to the movie.

This year Ivy Films will combine its efforts with that of the Harvard Liberal Union and U.N. Council in producing a new series, called "Ivy Cinema."
