Except for one change, the same varsity wrestling team which decisively defeated Williams last Saturday meets Tufts at 8:30 p.m. tonight in the I.A.B. The freshman teams face off at 7:00 p.m.
Coach Bob Pickett will keep intact the same winning lineup which lost only two bouts to Williams, with the exception of the 137 pound class, where Joe Lester replaces Phil Burnsmen.
Tufts comes to Harvard an "unknown, quantity," having lost its opener to M.I.T., 16 to 13. Pickett fools Tufts is the strongest it's been in four years, "but," he said, "what that means I don't know."
With three sophomores, four juniors and only one senior, the Jumbo squad is more experienced than a year ago when it won only two meets. But there's some question whether the Tufts' 137 pound man will start. He injured a rib in practice this week. Without his services, the squad will be decidedly weaker.
Crimson Captain Chick Chandler heads the lineup at 167. He won by default against Williams. Lightweight Don Fern decisioned his 123 pound opponent last week, while Dick Adams at 130 won by a pin in the first period.
Though both Crimson middleweights lost to Williams, they were inexperienced and are expected to look better tonight. Frank Baker will be at 147 and Bob Little will hold down 157. Junior Ken Culbert, who pinned his Williams man, starts at 177 and heavyweight Pete Morrison will be in the unlimited spot.
So far undefeated, the freshman squad faces a Tufts team which sneaked by M.I.T., 16 to 13. Pickett will use the same squad which he used against, Williams.
