Harvard's golfers are basking in misery; Bermuda civic officials yesterday cancelled a proposed series of Harvard-Yale vs. Oxford-Cambridge golf matches scheduled for the spring vacation week.
The plan has been to have each golfer pay his own transportation to and form the islands, and be the guest of the local government during his stay.
No official reason was given as to why the Bermuda officials withdrew the offer, but it is believed that finding quarters for the competitors during the most popular vacation week of the year had become a major problem.
