Salzburg Changes Entrance Policies In 'Fairness' Try

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In an attempt for "fairness," Salzburg Seminar admissions and scholarship policy have been changed, Frederick P. Muhlhauser '20, administrative director and treasurer, announced.

University students may no longer personally apply for admission under the new plan. Seniors, however, as well as juniors are eligible. Transportation scholarships are to be awarded only according to need.

The selecting committee is limited in its choice now to two undergraduates nominated by each Housemaster and the dean of Radcliffe and to two graduate students nominated by each department chairman in Seminar study areas.

Muhlhauser said the new restrictions are necessary to "make a decent investigation of all candidates."
