Dennis Gains All-Ivy Berth; Sacks Mentioned

Bill Dennis won a berth on the first All-Ivy League basketball team and Harry Sacks received honorable mention for the team, according to results of a recent college sportswriters poll.

All-American Ernie Beck of Pennsylvania was top man on the five. He was the only unanimously elected player, polling 50 votes. Dennis won his first-team spot with 30 votes. Sacks received 11.

Other selected to the first team were Jack Molinas of Columbia, Lee Morten of Cornell, and Fred Geig of Dartmouth. Molinas was second to Bock with 48 votes. Morton and Geig received 46 and 39 votes respectively.

Ponn placed the most men on the team with three players. Yale's John Wober, who made the second team, was the only Eli player to be mentioned.

Dennis was previously given an honorable motion on the All-New England basketball team, and was the leading scorer on the Harvard squad.
