Resident College students began living in non-College dormitory facilities for the first time last night when 12 upperclassmen were moved to temporary quarters in Gallatin Hall at the Business School.

The students are part of the overflow normally housed in Claverly, but the surplus this year was too big to be absorbed in the usual manner, Dean Watson announced yesterday.

Temporary barracks-type facilities in the IAB gymnasium housed the students until they were relocated across the river.

The undergraduates, to remain under College rules, will be gradually absorbed into their Houses and it is expected that all will make the shift by the end of the term.
