Alumni Examine Ties With College

President Pusey's interest in the relationship between the alumni and the College has led to a special study of the situation by an Alumni Association subcommittee.

The group, headed by Milton Katz '27, professor of Law, will present its report to the Association at a meeting Jan. 1. Other members of the three-man committee are William Bentinck-Smith '37, Assistant to the President, and Peter E. Pratt '40.

Katz said last night that the Association "exists to improve both the quality and range of the relationships between the graduates and the College."

He emphasized that the present report is only part of the process of "constantly reviewing" the relationship between College and alumni, and that the January meeting will be the first chance for President Pusey to express his ideas.

Although the group has met once, Bentinck-Smith said that the agenda of the January meeting is still indefinite. He expects that the role of the Associated Harvard Clubs and the Alumni Bulletin will be discussed.
