Wellesley Won't Permit Pedallers

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For six straight years, they've rode the trail

Stopped naught by rain, or rusty nail;

But now the Wellesley brass decrees:

No soap, so please refund the fees.

Velocipedes are out, they say

For it is sophomore father's day.

And next week you can neither race

For UN guests will tour the place.

We've had our fill of Cantab larks

And invasion of our quiet parks;

We ban your noisy, biking troops--

Our only race will be with hoops.

(Bicycle race entrants can get refunds funds of their entry fees Monday at 8 p.m. in the Outing Club office in the Lowell House basement. It is not yet known whether or not the race can be held again next year.)
