Police Still Baffled in $1400 Midget Robbery

Cambridge police last night reported that two days of investigation had revealed no new leads in the daring Sunday night robbery of the Midget Restaurant, near Radcliffe. Midget owner Alfred Kagan estimated the loss at over $1400, in small bills.

According to Detective John Galligan, one of the man assigned to the case, the thieves entered through a back door, and failing to open the safe, dragged it the length of the floor and took it to a waiting car.

Galligan's partner, Sergeant Alfred Markini, calculated that more than one man participated because of the weight of the safe. Police have discovered no witnesses, but are laying in wait for the burglars to repeat their caper in the same manner.
