A badly bruised finger suffered in the third quarter of the Cornell game will keep Walt Stahura from playing quarterback against Ohio University Saturday afternoon. He will play in the right halfback position, with Dick McLaughlin starting as quarterback.
With only two varsity quarterbacks now in action, Ted Marmor has been called up from the JV ranks. This has left a gap in the JV team--a gap clearly described in a football notice that appeared in yesterday's CRIMSON: "The JV football team has been left without a quarterback."
Several applicants have answered the JV plea for "anyone in the University with experience at T-quarterback." They are John Righter, Peter Haskell, and James Brown. JV coach Norm Shepard has already pressed them into service. Other candidates have not yet taken their physicals but are expected to join the squad soon.
