The Boston Celtics failed in their bid to tie the all-time record of 15 consecutive wins, as they were upset by the New York Knickerbockers 97 to 80 last night at Philadelphia.

The Celtics downed New York 120 to 107 Wednesday at Madison Square Garden, but last night the Knicks took the lead at the start and never relinquished it.

The Boston Bruins moved the New York Rangers from first place in the National Hockey League last night as goalie Don Simmons scored a 1 to 0 shutout.
