Supplies Lack Delays Building of Comstock

Comstock Hall, Radcliffe's newest dormitory, is a month behind its building schedule, President Wilbur K. Jordan of Radcliffe has disclosed. He indicated that one month of good weather will be necessary to get the dorm under roof before winter sets in.

"We ran into a cement strike just when we needed cement, and a steel strike just when we needed steel," Jordan said. The architects and contractors, however, have promised that the dormitory will be ready for its scheduled opening next September. The construction program will be tightened for this purpose, they said.

The new residence wing of the Radcliffe Graduate Center, begun a month later than Comstock, is proceeding according to schedule.
