A fast, aggressive varsity Crimson basketball team is expected to notch its sixth straight victory tonight when it meets a winless Northeastern Husky five at the I.A.B.

Coach Floyd Wilson will start Bryant Danner at center, Captain Dick Woolston and Monk Muncaster in the corners, and George Harrington and Bob Repetto in back court. The Crimson will operate from its usual 2-1-2 defense with Danner the middle man.

A high-powered Northeastern offense, which has averaged 68 points while losing all three of its games, centers around two sophomore guards, Mike Dvorchak and Dick Brown, who have averaged nearly 20 points per game.

In their encounter last Saturday night with the University of Massachusetts, the visitors bowed, 84-71, while the Crimson was busy routing M.I.T. by an 81-61 score.

The Crimson clicked on better than 50 per cent of its field goal attempts against Tech, with Danner leading the scoring parade with 20. Danner, whom Wilson has called "the surprise of the season," has been especially impressive under the boards, averaging about 20 rebounds per game. He should have little difficulty to night in handling his Northeastern opposite number, Frank Krypel, who measures 6ft. 2in.

Overconfidence Feared

Probably the most important factor that could militate against a Crimson win tonight is the insidious psychological danger of overconfidence. Last year, under somewhat similar circumstances, an undaunted Northeastern five ignored the press notices and irreverently dumped the varsity, 66 to 60.

Tonight, if the Crimson can keep its mind off its post-Christmas vacation Ivy League duels, it should avenge last year's upset. A win would tie last year's six-game win streak, the longest for the varsity in a decade.
