Material on Circus Donated to Library

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The will of George Brinton Beal has named Harvard as the recipient of a large amount of material on circus life.

Beal, who was formerly an editor of the Boston Post, had a collection which included programs, paintings, clippings, photographs and the former touring production, "Through the Back Door of the Circus."

Philip J. McNiff, Associate Librarian for Resources and Acquisitions, said that the Beal collection would "help round out an important segment of the theater collection."
