Yardlings Sweep Tufts Freshmen In Soccer Game

The Yardling soccer team overwhelmed the Tufts freshman squad yesterday, 5 to 0. The Crimson attack gained three goals within the first ten minutes.

"About the first three times they took the ball up the field they scored," said Dana Getchel, freshman soccer coach, last night. "Although the Tufts field is narrower than the one we are accustomed to, the team played very well at the beginning. They tended to play in spurts, however, and I want to work on this," added Getchel.

Bruce Johnstone scored the first two goals, the remainder going to Alexander Cortesi, Philip Bernstein, and Dean Mac-Laughlin.
