Varsity quarterback Charlie Ravenel is the subject of a feature entitled "The Square Is Alive Again" in this week's issue of Sports Illustrated.
Co-authors Roy Terrell, staff writer, and C. C. "Dean" Brelis '49 describe "a charming Rebel in cleats named Ravenel" who "has won the hearts of all Cambridge and made Harvard football fun once more."
The University, the writers observe, has given way "to the spirit of days when Harvard held its own on the football field." Respectable silence has given way to cheers "for Harvard, for John Yovicsin, for the team, for the past, for the existence of a Harvard quarterback with the volcanic personality to wheel the Crimson towards touchdowns," the article reports.
