Chairman Appointed

Robert G. McCloskey, recently-appointed professor of Government, has been named Chairman of the Department of Government for next year. He will succeed Samuel H. Beer, professor of Government, who will spend the year on sabbatical leave, writing in England.

In a separate announcement, the Committee on Educational Policy disclosed that Reuben A. Brower, professor of English, has resigned as a member of the Committee. The resignation, which had been decided upon previously, will become effective July 1.
