Bill Cleary to Lead U.S. Hockey Team

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Bill Cleary, Jr., star center on the Crimson hockey sextets of 1954-55, has been chosen captain of the U.S. National Hockey Team.

The high-scoring Cleary will lead the U.S. Nationals in the world championship tournament at Prague, Czechoslovakia, in March.

"It's been a thrilling experience to face the Russians on ice," Cleary said yesterday, commenting on his squad's recent game with the powerful U.S.S.R. six. "The Soviets are serious precisionists, but the National squad hasn't lost hope for the world championship, no matter what happens to Harvard and the other college teams confronting the Russians."
